Why stabilizers
PVC melt ductility is poor, the production of the melt is easy to break; melt relaxation is slow, easy to lead to product surface roughness, lack of luster and superficial wrinkles and so on. Therefore, it is often necessary to add processing aids to promote the melting of the resin, improve the melt rheological properties and lubrication function.
Promote the melting of the resin: PVC resin in the heated state, in a certain shear force melting, processing modifiers firstly melt and adhere to the surface of the PVC resin particles, its compatibility with the resin and its high molecular weight, so that the viscosity and friction of PVC increased, thus effectively transferring the shear stress and heat to the entire PVC resin, accelerating the melting of PVC.
Improvement of melt flow performance: PVC melt has the disadvantages of poor strength, poor ductility and melt rupture, etc., but the processing modifier can improve the melt rheological properties mentioned above. Its mechanism of action is: increase the viscoelasticity of molten PVC, thus improving the phenomenon of mold expansion, and improve the strength of the melt.
Lubrication: Processing modifier and PVC compatible part melt first, playing a role in promoting the melt; and incompatible parts of PVC to the molten resin system migrate out of the system, thus improving the mold release.
